Michael Tilson Thomas, artistic director & director
Anne-Sophie Mutter, violin
The New World Symphony is a laboratory for musical education and one of the world's premier orchestral training programs. Comprising graduates of distinguished music programs as they prepare for positions in orchestras and ensembles around the world, the NWS makes its Washington Performing Arts debut in celebration of founder Michael Tilson Thomas's 70th birthday.
This will mark Anne-Sophie Mutter's second performance this season: In November, she brings her own Mutter Virtuosi to our series.
